Integrative, culturally informed psychotherapy for BIPOC adults and professionals navigating anxiety, people-pleasing, family patterns, and chronic health stress in NY & PA (virtual)

If you’re feeling caught in cycles of anxiety, people-pleasing, and the weight of family expectations—or trying to keep going while also managing chronic health challenges—you’re not alone. Many of the people I work with feel exhausted from holding so much for others, while quietly wondering how to begin taking care of themselves too.

In our work together, I support clients navigating:

  • Anxiety and constant overthinking

  • People-pleasing and difficulty setting boundaries

  • Family expectations and intergenerational patterns

  • Low self-esteem and self-doubt

  • Body image concerns

  • Depression, burnout, and emotional overwhelm

  • Chronic health challenges and stress-related symptoms

  • Life transitions and identity shifts

  • Cultural stress and navigating BIPOC/South Asian identity

In therapy, we move at your pace. I offer a warm, collaborative, and culturally informed space where we can gently explore these patterns together, make sense of what you’ve been carrying, and support you in building more self-trust, balance, and ease in your life.

You don’t have to do this alone.

Shruthi Nair LMHC-D LPC

I am an integrative therapist that blends different therapeutic modalities which includes CBT, DBT, IFS, somatic, and EMDR with a collaborative, holistic, warm, and relational approach. I aim to create a safe space to honor your cultural roots and to guide you to embrace the most authentic version of you. If you are here you have taken the first step to healing although it can be scary, overwhelming, and at times frustrating. You are not alone in this journey, with me as your therapist we can collaborate to process your emotions and experiences and to learn coping skills/strategies to manage your emotions. I truly believe healing is holistic and unique to every individual and one size does not fit all. As we work together we will not only feel your emotions, we will experience the feelings too. Find out more about my specialties and therapeutic approach below. It will be a true honor to witness and guide you on your healing journey

Why Bold Brown Therapy?

Bold Brown Therapy is rooted in purpose, care, and lived understanding.

“Bold” reflects the courage it takes to slow down, feel, and begin healing—especially when you’ve been taught to stay quiet, push through, or put others first. “Brown” centers your identity, so your cultural experiences aren’t something you have to explain—they’re already understood here.

This is a space for South Asian and BIPOC individuals who want to feel fully seen, supported, and held with care—not just treated.

You deserve to feel grounded, seen, and empowered in your own story.
