Using your Insurance & Out of Network Benefits
I am an out-of-network provider, so this means that I can offer care that is fully personalized, confidential, and not limited by insurance requirements.
However many insurance plans include out-of-network benefits, and you may be reimbursed for a significant portion of your sessions—often 60–80% of the cost, depending on your coverage.
To make this process simple, we’ve partnered with Mentaya, a platform that helps you check your benefits and handle claims with ease.
Check your benefits in minutes below to see how much you may be reimbursed.
Simple steps to help you use your insurance benefits with confidence
How it works?
Pay your provider directly
Out-of-network providers are self-pay, so you pay for your session at the time of your appointment.
2.Paperwork is sent to your insurance
After your session, you submit paperwork to insurance company with the details they need.
3. Insurance reviews your benefits
Your insurer applies your out-of-network coverage, deductible, and reimbursement rate.
Every insurance plan is different, and reimbursement is based on your specific out-of-network benefits.
Some plans require you to meet a deductible before reimbursement begins.
Reimbursement is typically partial, helping offset the cost of care rather than covering it fully.
Reimbursement is based on what your insurer considers an “allowed amount,” not the provider’s full fee
4.You get reimbursed
If your plan includes out-of-network benefits, your insurance reimburses you directly—usually by check or direct deposit within 2-6 weeks depending on your insurer.
I offer two ways to make the paperwork easy
1. Submit Claims Yourself
After each session, you’ll receive a superbill (a detailed receipt) that you can submit directly to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
You can typically submit your superbill either through your insurance company’s online patient portal or by mail, depending on your provider’s process.
2. Full Claim Support Through Mentaya
We partner with Mentaya, a service that manages the entire insurance claim process for you.
Mentaya can:
Submit your out-of-network claims on your behalf
Handle insurance follow-ups and paperwork
Manage denials or additional insurance requests
Ensure your reimbursement process stays on track
This option allows you to receive reimbursement without having to navigate insurance forms, phone calls, or follow-ups yourself.
Mentaya charges a 5% fee per claim, which covers full claim management and support. Their service is risk-free—if a claim is not successfully submitted, their fee is fully refunded.
